From the racket immediately after the Last Post (beautifully played by the way, well done that man), to the woeful performance on the pitch. Nothing positive from today whatsoever, with the exception of Patrick Schmidt's run and finish. We were pitiful and Schmidt's goal gave a more flattering look to the scoreline than we deserved. It's been a long time since I've felt as low as this with our 'display'.
It is. No pun intended when I say that your opinion carries some weight. You are one of the few who always look for positives. But for you, of all people, to be downbeat, things really are that bad.
Sobering to think that because of the way the club has decided to go, this is going to continue for some time to come.
It was an awful awful display. Inept and ineffectual. No shape. I can’t knock the effort but we are way short of being able to compete at this level. Way way short.
I don't disagree and I'm now certain (if I wasn't already) that we'll be watching L1 football next season. And yet... 1st goal - goalkeeping howler 2nd goal - gifted them a penalty or referee conned, I haven't seen it again yet. 3rd goal - weak at defending set piece 4th goal - no idea, I'd kind of switched off by then, a bit like our defence. By contrast we got a couple of well-worked footballing type of goals. No consolation though, we were a L1 side at best today. All huff and puff and very little else. Can anybody remember the last time WE scored through an opposition defensive mix-up or dubious refereeing decision, or even an own goal? Seems to happen every bloody game for our opponents.
To be fair. The ones saying that when kev posts his review it is really that bad. I was talking to him before kick off, and he was low then. So I take no pleasure in reading this and not being surprised in the slightest of his comments. So, yes, we are in a very vulnerable state right now. To be honest, having kev and Jay close by as well as the couple in front of us (well all of those around us), are in effect the only reason my Dad and I would continue to turn up. Sad state of affairs this
We were hot garbage, as the americans might say. And Murray after the game said it was a tough gig for whoever takes over. That's a youth coach probably not earning much and he's seemingly uninterested in the job himself despite you'd expect a big pay increase. Says a lot.
no one's interested are they though, Of the two teams on the pitch today look how quickly Stoke replaced their manager, and look at us. Academy coach in charge, playing academy football, set an impossible task by these owners and nobody is interested. We'll end up with another Believe merchant out of his depth and out the door come May.
You do understand that most of the media and on here had him down as sacked weeks ago, well before Daniel went so I would suggest that they have had longer to recruit than you infer.
