How can I make a suggestion for a new signing? I don't watch any games apart from ours, and in our games I hardly notice the opposition players and even if I did I wouldn't know their names. I can't be arsed to watch any other football games apart from ours, so I've not got a clue.

Despite that, I sort of half-agree with your post. People write off players they've never heard of and never seen play, based on what exactly? Why not just show a bit more confidence in our scouting staff and system, give them a few games and then make a judgement? Or is that too simplistic?

The dig wasnt him personally but at the idea that he isnt 'experienced' in champiomship. Might as well tell Messi to stay away from Prem cos he isn't experienced enough for English league. Seen as French top League doesnt live up to championship standard. Suppose PSG must be same level as Wolves to some

Messi is obviously an exception but even so even he might take time to adjust and acclimatise

Of course it’s not a cop out. Ok I will determine my budget. It’s limitless I can spend what I like on wages and transfers. I will sign the Barcelona first team. You cannot say we can’t afford them because you don’t know if I’m right or wrong. Do you think my new signings will improve the team. Oh aye let’s chuck Man City’s team in as well. Just for the laugh.

It does look like a cop out.
I'd say the players we sign and are been linked with give an indication of what we can and cannot afford the new owners said nothing stupid would be happening and I think living within our means as much as possible. Hth

What do you reckon they call a reasonable transfer fee? What's their yard stick? What do you reckon the income streams they talk about improving are going to be worth?

Nobody on here knows what amounts of money are available or will be available once they have their revenues sorted.

    Playing dumb.

Huge cop out. Fence sitters. No bottle. Scared to make calls as they can’t handle anything being thrown back in there face.

    Leave them too it pal.

I’m certainly enjoying this transfer window.

    Exciting times.

The owners statement doesn’t tell me how much I can spend doesn’t tell how much I can have on wages. Doesn’t enter me into a negotiation with the player to determine whether A &B make C possible. So I will assume I have access to as much money as I need and sign Aguero. You don’t know the budget so can’t say I can’t afgord him. I will draw a little mathematical equation when I get home to show you that you are asking people to do something that is mathematically impractical based on number of unknown variables.

It's running out of time to be exciting when our only two signings so far are someone with a few good months in the league below and a guy from a club in a struggle to not end up in the Spanish third tier. Signing some unknown Congolese international from France won't change that.

To be fair the last time I saw him make a prediction was the opening day after Bristol beat us 3.1 he said Bristol aren't a good team with a poor manager and will be in or around the drop zone come end of season.... in not surrised he is fence sitting now.

I predicted a season of struggle and turmoil and a long relegation fight for us. Whilst others like you painted a picture of everything being rosy. I also predicted that you would turn on Hecky again correct whilst I still would be supporting him.

Bristol City have the worst Barnsley manager we have ever had. They started well and are fading. Luckily for them they have a cushion.

You're off your trotter insulting me and others like that. How can I possibly suggest players to sign? I've no idea. Or have I misunderstood what you mean?

Probably not got the latest version of Player Manager. Don't get in a huff telling folk they've no bottle and scared when the next time someone calls you on here you'll disappear again. Take this site with a pinch of salt.

They'll be some right **** swinging on here if this lad knocks a hat-trick in #wankingsocks.

Stupidest thing I've heard. We are only asking you to name a player that you think could do well in squad that could potentially cost around what we seem to be willing to pay at the moment and in the summer. We've gone £1m tops for a player but if the club threw all money they spent in summer in to one player then suppose we will give you £2.5m to find a player. And wages will be £15k tops,i dont know what the highest bfc earner gets but id assume it wasnt much more than that if it even gets close to that.

Who do you think fits the bill. One player! Just name one.

The owners said they weren't going daft and we will still be going about our budgets. So we have to assume that we will continue paying what we have recently for players. So £1m bids maybe a litlle bit more if they find the player a real solid fit.

Sounds to me as though they are using revenues from players, matchdays, etc.. to bring in players rather than pumping millions in to transfer funds from their own back pocket.

Sorry that some people dare to dream a little once in a while. Shall we all assume that we are going down every season, what a laugh it would be going to games with that attitude.
