I think this says more about you, Pal, given the context. All the things you posted/apparently worry about are in your head.
Also, I don't want to sound mean but it strikes me that you don't appear to spend that much time with any women?
That's your opinion, you're entitled to that. My opinion is that women have an advantage over men. I dont worry about it, I'm just concerned as to where were going to end up. We live in a world full of people looking to find offense in every single sentence someone comes out with. I'm all for equality.
I'm honestly not taking the mick. From one red to another: do you really think this? Do you watch a lot of Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro videos on YouTube?
The issue you have is that you aren't stating an opinion, you are trying to state a fact. Unfortunately, for you, it is not a fact that women have an "advantage" over men. Exactly what constitutes an advantage would clearly need to be defined first, at the very least.
Quite a strange post that, pal. However just to make a point, I've been with the same women for the last 8 years. My dad left my mum when I was 3 and I never saw him after that, I was brought up by my mum and my grandmother. Onto work, I'd say theres around 20 or 30 women at our place. Theres no divide, we all have a right laugh. We go out together, again, have a right old laugh. Abit more info too... the missus is the gaffer in our house, what she says goes. Shes not on a lead, shes got a better paid job than me (on maternity leave atm but still) and believe it or not she recently voted in the elections AND she has a driving licence. Proper modern day lady. I'm sure that disappoints you massively.
Well this thread sums up how much work is still to be done for actual equality. When I see the link in the original OP I just think its great to see error being made to get more women qualified to coach.
I fail to see why it would confuse you. Maybe things are different higher up the employment ladder, I dont know. I'm quite far down it i assume. I just think were going down a dangerous route when we are advertising men only jobs or women only jobs. Give it the best qualified person regardless of gender, does it really matter? Thats my stance on it.
I've just had a proper look at the post. Ok so now I understand why I've probably caused abit of commotion here. I thought it was a job vacancy for a coach at the FA which was a womens only position. I'm going to apologise here because I've dropped a right old clanger. So my deepest apologies on that front. I dont think we have equality in this country. I wont change my mind on that, because that's what I honestly do believe.
Honestly mate, you don't need to interview the same number of women as men. I interview people on a very regular basis (every month), our HR department is very tight on regulations (it's a university, they're big on equal rights and avoiding any discrimination) and we do not have to interview equal numbers of men and women for posts. I put 'men being sacked for saying you look nice to a woman' and got no hits. I think that's a myth.
As Victoria Wood said - not a problem since the invention of the hovver mower and sperm banks! Think we may need men for removal of spiders purposes though.
