That we will be in.. brexit or no brexit.. Did you know that.. "If the EU, or perhaps Ms Mogherini, decides to go to war, a vote in a national Parliament cannot prevent it - they are legally bound by PESCO to commit their military resources.".. Most wouldn't know the real natzi's if they came up and bit you in the ar5e
Believe it or not the majority of people agreed with the invasion of Iraq which was voted through by our elected representatives, and what an utter sh*t show that has turned into. I really don't see how the EU could scr*w up anymore then our own. I opposed it from the start, a bit like Brexit, so 2 from 2 on knowing better than the majority. Still not much comfort other than for my growing self righteousness.
What most people don't understand about the Brexit vote was that is wasn't a vote to either leave or to remain in an EU status quo. The vote was actually to either leave or be part of an evolving EU that is aiming for closer and then full integration - with Germany being the leading voice of that group. So in effect what Hitler failed to do - Merkel would achieve through the back door.
Saw a documentary the other day. It was about the conspiracy theory that the Nazis dreamt the blueprint for the EU up, so that Germany could steadily grow its influence over other European nations and recover from the devastating effects of the war more quickly. Don't know how true all of that is, but it certainly seems to have worked that way.!
Here you go. Article in the Express from 2014, claiming Adolph and his cohorts had a vision for the establishment of the United States of Europe with Germany being the dominant player. Seems to have come to pass.? https://www.express.co.uk/news/worl...many-WON-the-Second-World-War-claims-new-book
That's an impressive theory up there with Mossad warning Jews not to go to the twin towers on Sept 11th, and just as believable.
To be fair though it would make Thatcher who pushed hard for the creation of the Single Market and Customs Union a German double agent.
Depends who's making the decisions, if it's just a NATO style agreement where the countries themselves decide what to get involved in then fair enough (although not really needed), if it's a central body deciding what the forces should do then be very afraid.
I once heard somebody being interviewed on the radio who had written a book claiming that the moon was hollow and built by time travellers.
