Of course discussion is allowed..............I personally just don't see any negativity at this moment in time, whereas other people have found summat to moan about.

Yes that he will get a contract next year(no guarantee of a playing contract though as the board don't want to give anyone a Championship contract if we're not in it!!).That he will be granted a Testimonial year and the fans should support any dinners, golf days etc that are held on his behalf. That he is a tremendous servant to Barnsley Football Club and has a loyalty that is very rare in football(apart from Flicker himself of course). That he very much features in the squad plans and will probably get a game at MK Dons in some capacity

Thanks to BP and others for reporting on the evening with Flicker - very, very interesting read. I have met him a couple of times and he's a top bloke.

I'm not a happy clapper by any means, but as Pasta says, let's be positive as there's nothing to be negative about at the moment!!

I'm really not sure how anyone can suggest the board deserve praise for the process of arriving at Flicker as manager. They've got the right man through the wrong process for the wrong reasons.

I agree. Bit like Wilson pestering JD to get the job at the time.

Thought someone might have, given the various digs made at Hassell by Hill and Flitcroft over the last 18 months. But if no one did fair enough

Agreed......Flicker got the job default really BUT he's really got us going now and I am happier now than I have been in a long while, as a REDS fan.

    Long may it continue.

I also think that the Board have started to realise their recent failures and I hope they adjust their strategy on things like match day ticket pricing, communication with fans, matchday experience improvement, etc. I am not so confident this will actually happen though.

Agree. I had the pleasure of chatting with Flicker at the end of last season and he had the good grace to give me 10 minutes of his time. Was curteous, passionate, insightful and determined to be succesful. And built like a brick **** house. Hopefully he is here for the long term, even if we do go down this season. Which we won't.

I find it quite laughable that everything the club gets wrong - and I mean everything - The Don gets blamed for. Yet any thing at all that we get right, someone else gets the credit for. Some of you lot really do hate this man don't ya? Bet he's counting the days til retirement..

    Thank you for the report.

It's been obvious from watching us what Flicker changed. Play football in the opponents half and not our own. The change was dramatic and it was exactly what was needed. It brought about an instant improvement in both performances and results. Maybe now that our manager has said it we'll finally get a consensus.

I don't think there has ever been any disagreement on that, has there?

It's tough for the Don as he does not have a genuine Board to use for discussion(s)......and I agree, he takes the flak for everything that is off-the-field for BFC....and it's not always his fault!
