Never say never but I would be very surprised if we sold any of this squad for a profit. We will do well to recover our outlay on most. I still wouldn't offer any of them a new contract. We're going to have to raise the bar a bit with the next set of signings.
Even if we don't go up what do we do? Would you offer Thiam a two year extension in January in the hope that we might get summat at some point in the future? I certainly wouldn't.
No , the suggestion is, that when were on that bad run , I doubt you were singing any of the players praises & would not have been advocating offering them contract extensions , but time changes things ,as it did with that squad & whilst you, me & everyone have not got a crystal ball , the point is things can change & it is foolish to write them all off because some might just prove you wrong.
So how long are we leaving it before deciding if the players are up to it - they'll be halfway through their contracts come January. More than halfway in some instances.
Thats up to the HC , he has been here long enough to decide which players he thinks can be part of us going forward & I am sure the management will try to support him if he recommends contract extensions for players he wants to keep .
Well on that basis why waste time discussing it? In fact why waste time discussing owt because none of it is up to us.
All you ever do is moan that you’re not allowed to say this or that or anything negative about the club, which is blatantly untrue if you spend even a moderate amount of time on here. There are plenty of others who get on with their business of “being negative” or criticising the club, but you seem unable to do so without crying about the fact that people disagree with you and wish you’d shut up. You can’t have it both ways.
Yawn.... Just get behind the lads and shut up. You only seem to perk up after we lose. We will have good games and bad games. Hopefully we will have much more good than bad and get promoted.
People can disagree with me all day long. No problem with that. What they can't do (or shouldn't be able to) is stop people from having an opinion. That's what many on here want. If you think this doesn't happen you're in cloud cuckoo land.
Touched a nerve? What are you reading? If you're saying might as well leave it up to the head coach there's not much point discussing owt is there?
[QUOTE="KingBenny92, post: 2201404, member: 121147You only seem to perk up after we lose. [/QUOTE] This old chestnut.
Of course there is , you , me & everyone can discuss our opinions & my opinion is that the correct way forward is to offer contract extensions on the recommendations of the HC , you might disagree & say we could use another approach , which when you have made your point I might agree with you or disagree with you , thats debate or am I wrong ?
