Could be onto something there... it's win-win for the club.

No it's a one-off decision but they said they would try and accommodate people as best they could. I did raise the point about the 6pm kick-off times we've seen. I think the consensus was that we'd try and avoid those if at all possible if fans are coming to the stadium.
It's possible we might only have a few days notice for a green light for the first one though.

Did you? That's odd because I got a brand new ticket posted out to me this year for some reason.

    Yes.

But I know for a fact that @TonyTyke got a new ticket sent out. It's weird.

Sounds like a totally pointless waste of everyone's time.

Who the f**k wants to sit in a stadium the size of Oakwell with just shy of 4000 dotted all over the ground. No refreshments, one way systems. Shove it up your ars*.

This new normal is great isn't it?

    I do!

I hope another 4,000 season ticket holders think like you do as then I'll be guaranteed to win every ballot!

There has to be some consideration for us long standing ST holders who travel over 100 miles each direction to watch games and have done so for 30 years plus. An allocation of a Tuesday night game which is impossible to attend due to work and arriving home after midnight is not acceptable given this level of loyalty and commitment over the years. I do appreciate the difficulty organising this Is outside the club’s control but there are a lot of us for whom it might be an eternity before we attend a game.

    And so it starts.

while I feel for you everyone is in the same boat. There hasn’t got to consideration for I’m a better fan than you. I’m quite sure your situation is replicated in many others we’ve all got to do our best to let the club help us. There’s always the I follow match pass

If I understood correctly there might be the opportunity to tell the club you can't make one particular game and go in the guaranteed pot for the next game. I also believe they looked at all possible ways to determine who could go to a game and this was the fairest one. I agree with what they are saying here and apart from that how would you realisticly determine who got to go and who didn't?

It sounds a total nightmare. Doubt I'll attend a match for several years for a bunch of reasons. Thankfully iFollow has worked OK, but it ain't really the same, but this wouldn't be the same also. Good look to all you guys trying to work this out.

Credit to every single one of you involved in trying to make this nightmare you've not much say in work. I don't understand why concourse space matters if with catering shut all you can do is go through the turnstiles and straight to your seat. If you can't guarantee two games in a row but can guarantee if you miss one you will be at the next well for example in December the ballot for PNE won't be so popular because we will all want to have a guaranteed chance to go on boxing day. The percentage of the seats we can use looks extremely unfair so I hope you've been given hope that if the first game goes well it can increase for future games at a decent rate. Digital tickets seem an added headache instead of people just using their season pass. Even though you aren't guaranteed to be in the stand you usually watch from, it should be easy to make sure that seats used for games that are taken by a season pass holder do get their seat rather than sitting somewhere else and someone being in their seat.

Once again well done coming together to try and get it to work.

Only thing we've done is listen to the plans and the hard work the club staff have had to do and provide some feedback on a zoom call. :)
There is hope of increasing the numbers eventually. Again the detail around this is not known yet.
Sitting in own seats is not viable though. Think about the percentage of season ticket seats that won't be available to use for each game. How would you even organise that? The entire stadium is in use to get a capacity of under 4k
Digital tickets are mandated and make sense. The bubble organiser will receive the ticket for the bubble. (and can obviously forward on if required)

If you had a quiet word thought they could plan the stadium around my seat then I could sit there every week.

I'm sure given your VIP status that enabled a new season ticket this season when you weren't due one, you'll be guaranteed your proper seat for each and every match. :D

That's pretty unreasonable. I'm sure everyone would prefer weekend games.
