    One of the greatest, most inspiring films I've ever seen, can't recommend it enough. (Excuse the cheesy trailer), you can see the whole 3 hours on youtube and other sites!

    Hoosiers is a brilliant film - largely thanks to Gene Hackman of course - typically has its mawkish moments but it's arguably the best sports movie Hollywood has ever produced.

    I would offer both The Natural and Field of Dreams (the latter remains my favourite film of all time) however both are about much much more than just sport.

    Not sure you can call 'Loneliness' a sporting film, more a film about the defiance of youth, drudgery of a 50s inner city life and the corruption of those in power.
