    Just read an article about a proposal for Premier teams to give £2.5 million to a pot for teams in financial difficulty in the EFL.
    In it they said one of the issues was would it encourage clubs to overspend knowing there would be a safety net and how this could be unfair to compliant teams like us.
    My immediate thought was pay the compliant teams and it hit me surely the easy answer to solve this issue is to reward the teams who comply.

    Yes the money earned from promotion would still out weigh any reward like this but at least it would give proper ran clubs the opportunity to compete more with the extra revenue.

    Not saying proper punishments should be ignored BTW.

    Allow teams to access the money if in trouble - but automatic demotion is the price for using it.
