Anyone who prefers the Berk to Hecky should not be allowed to watch or speak about football. In fact, they shouldn't be allowed to know it exists.

I think your edging into Football Manager 2017 ground here. In real football, a manager can't just sell a player and re-invest it all in new signings as there are may other financial concerns to take into account.

Cryne said when we were pulling these transfer fee's in that they were going to be used to run the club and ensure the club was financially stable going forward. NOT for paying over inflated transfer fees and wages.

We got a pittance for winnall and Hourihane, so I hardly think the club saw "pound signs" in January. Winall, Bree, Hourihane and Morsy certainly did though. Hourihane signed up to becoming a millionaire footballer.

As for empty seats at oakwell. Biggest home average gates in years this season.

I think some people imagine that transfers and wages are the only overheads a club has to service.

It doesn't mean it's being spent though does it?

It's not hard to grasp. Please try.

Agree yesterday's match was tedious. Me and my mates left ten minutes early to go to the pub in the end.

We will certainly be up **** creek if we field that defence at the start of the season, but we won't.
We are clearly lacking creative players. Bradshaw needs someone to play off too & he needs to get some confidence back.
Last few games he has looked like he wouldn't hit a barn door with a banjo. Certainly no room for complacency next season, but there is plenty of time to find replacements.

Things are going to have to move on though Redstar.

All we hear from Heckingbottom is that a ceo will be appointed soon. Christmas will be soon too.

All we get is this negative comments for me. Nothing about how the club are doing on. Mr Cryne/ Linton Brown made comments in the summer.

Mawson was still at Barnsley along with Bree Winnall and Hourihane. Stones was still a toffee. Things change and the transfer process will change with that.

Question 1: does Paul heckingbottom appoint the CEO of the club?

Question 2: does Paul heckingbottom make the decision as to where Patrick cryne allocates his funds?

Question 3: Why do you ignore everything everybody tells you?

Things are always moving on. If you haven't noticed we've moved on from rock bottom league one to comfortable mid table championship side in a short space of time.

You don't run two marathons without taking a breather in between.

Have a bit of faith in the club you're supposed to support, and stop feeling a need to question absolutely everything just for the sake of it.

He doesn't want to grasp it. He refuses to listen to facts as nobody elses opinions are important to him.

It wouldn't surprise me if a chunk of the fee received for Mawson/Stones hasn't been allocated to developing the West Stand in the same way we got the John Beresford floodlights, Carl Tiler East Stand, Ashley Ward North stand etc. I don't think there are the same grants available.

Cryne was very clear in his pre-season interview that income from Stones (which was anticipated at the time although the deal hadn't been completed) would be used to protect the club, go towards sustaining it for a while.

I'd be surprised if Hecky isn't given a slightly larger transfer and wages budget, but a lot of that is probably linked to, say, the guarantee of £6+million tv revenues for another year. Quite what they give him is anyone's guess, none of us know, pure speculation.

Let's face it, we could get relegated (although I think we're in the hands of a far better coaching team than Hill, Flitcroft et al) and in that scenario do we want players on wages that we cannot sustain in League 1 and whose market value drops accordingly?

I want progress, success, as much as anyone. We've made massive strides in a very short space of time and for a club with our history had unprecedented success recently. Especially as the club was on its arse three years ago.

At this level of football, even small steps further forward are even more difficult and expensive to make and I'd only start making a judgement on the direction of the club in another couple of years. We can't do it at any price. Look at those who've tried. For every success, I give you Wigan, Blackburn, Forest, even Wolves.

There is a price worth paying for progress, and sometimes it's a case of not letting the money burn a hole in the pocket.

Good thing about Hemsy. He gets everyone else signing off the same hymn sheet.

Just a pity he's on a different page.
