Rotherham finished bottom with the lowest points total in living memory for this division last season. I can't conceive a bigger set of "losers" than the players they had that season, but they are guaranteed a play-off place this season in League One. The players we have now are not good enough for the Championship, but the likes of Bradshaw, Moore, Hammill, Isgrove have proven they can flourish in League One. A few additions and we'll be up there next season.
how can it be THIS managers fault when he was not here when the current bag of ***** we laughingly call the first team squad was signed.
they are safe and going nowhere up or down. I hope they play some youngsters for experience and the rest are wearing their flip flops already.... that said we will still most probably fail.
Agree and let’s also remember that until we play our game In hand we don’t know whether Bolton are poorer than us at a level stage . They certainly are as far as goal difference is concerned and they may also be points wise at around 9:45pm Tuesday
I'm changing tactics for Tuesday night. The ploy of avoiding the match until full time has worked for me in the past. I'm now totally relying on superstition to save us.
They've changed personnel big style though, think there's only two regular starters from last year in their team now. We would need to do the same as Davies, Bradshaw and Hammill are the only players imho who have played consistently well at the top end of L1 in the past and all of them are not the same as two years ago now. Moore scored regularly in a then mid-table Rotherham and will also be important. You can bin the rest, other than the centre-halves, for me. Relying on the likes of Potts and Moncur to win the battles in midfield will see us down again a la Blackpool and Colchester.
It's definitely SH one T or bust now. Trouble is both Brentford and Derby are still going for the play offs, so they will field their strongest teams against us. We have got to bust a gut on Tuesday and beat Forest and hope we can win our remaining home game, because I can't see us getting anything at Pride Park. Lose on Tuesday and I'm sad to say, it will be very difficult for us to survive.
Forest look physically mis-matched against Cardiff's giants. Chance for us to play Pinnock, Lindsay, Moore and McBurnie (centrally) and do the same but I bet Jose picks a team of midgets.
