Spot on. The only no.10 I can name who would fit in still would be Dennis Bergkamp. He never had the pace anyway. But his brain was so fast and skill set so high, that raw pace was never an issue to him and wouldn’t be today. People call out quality and ball skills these days - but Bergkamp took it to another level. Age aside, in his prime he’d fit in todays City or ‘Pool team easily.
He's the one player I use as a example to my Grandson as a a player that has all the talent but without the application it just goes to waste having said that he's made a good living out of the game but it seems it could have been more. Ability wise I think mid championship as for him personally we are not in a position to comment we can only base it on what we see on the pitch
I seem to remember George being good friends with an extremely ill little girl & her family in Dodworth. Sadly, the angel died, but I will always remember the kindness and love shown at that difficult time. It showed George to be an outstanding bloke and did him great credit.
