Thought Pope would do a job for us (I know hes gone elsewhere) but when we played last Vale last year, some people on here said how poor he was etc etc.......it was his first game back after a 6 to 8 week injury! Give em a chance
If we do sign him, then personally i think thats a good capture. Experience at this level with goals in him.
It's not been immediately. Mansford and Johnson have said many times that we are looking for players all year round. We've had three months of the off season to use that information to bring in players. We are now under three weeks from the start of the season and Forte looks like a panic signing. I await LJ saying how he's always been one of our top targets
Can't be from Man Utd. That makes them look better than they are allegedly. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Just had a quick look on Oldhams forum ,they seem to rate him highly and a big loss...He sounds encouraging as to what he can bring to the team even if he will miss a few games and LJ obviously know what he's working with ,the devil you know and all that .
He missed about 10 weeks of last season, so not far off Winnall in that regard. Scored 15 times. 14 of those goals for LJ's side. I think we're short on pace/power from our forward line, and we lack experience in the squad. Ticks a lot of boxes for me. We want to get out of the division don't we? Sometimes you need to think short term with some recruits. Marc Richards did a job at this level for us, then we moved him on. Horses for courses. It's not the most exciting signing, I'd have preferred McLeod, but then there'd have been folk writing him off n all.
LOLdham (thanks, Whitey) fans start rumours about us having no money. To rebuke this, we're about to sign their top scorer. For, apparently, money. Nice.
Re: Have they moved onto his other leg yet ? If Richard Kell can pass a medical with a broken leg, Brian Howard with a broken ankle and Steve Hayward with a gret hole where his knee used to be, unless this lad's got leprosy and an arm off, I think he'll make it through.
