They probably weren’t as impressed with Hecky as we were. They live in a world where results matter. The longer he went without a win and saying ‘we played well and should have got something from the game’, the more their patience would be stretched. Also he probably didn’t trust the new owners like he trusted Patrick.
I’m just amazed that Leeds who, are not known for their patience, think this is a good appointment. They’ve now got to sell it to the fans. Best of luck with that.
Don’t blame him for taking the money now though and I don’t care if it’s Leeds, Wednesday, or whoever. I just focus on Barnsley. Hope we get a better manager than we had before.

    I wasn't impressed at all..

I thought he lost the plot tbh, He didn't know what formation he was using.. definitely taking a bad gamble playing 5 at the back a few weeks ago. Not playing Mallan from the beginning, picking players like Potts over others who deserve a run in the team, even worse was playing him on the wing!! & and did same with Moncur.. when we have Hedges!

We all know when a manager is losing it (weve seen it so many times before) different team, different tactics every week, square pegs, round holes, selecting inexplicable favourites, downbeat interviews etc etc.
It was all there, but because hes a barnsley lad I think for a while its been a case of emperors new clothes. Only in the last few weeks have a few souls have been brave enough to point out he's got nowt on
