Ref took a good minute to send him off. Hugely swayed by half the home team surrounding him begging for a card. Busby should have been dishing out yellows to the six or so players trying to do his job for him. We've played teams managed by Joey Barton and Steve Evans and seen nothing like the anti football Accrington served up. They were doing the same full time too. One of their players blatantly laughed at the away fans down by the challenge which incited the crowd and made the stewards job harder.

This happened for most decisions throughout the match. They controlled the ref in a way that we never do.

I thought a lot of our fans at the match behaved like idiots when Fryers got sent off.

It was a blatant second yellow card, about as clear of a yellow card offence as you’ll see. The ref’s first reaction is to check on the players, he was always going in my opinion.

I don’t believe for a second that the referee was influenced. If he needed a few Accrington players to tell him it was a yellow then he shouldn’t be in a job.

All the abuse the ref got & the shouting & running out of seats & rowing with stewards was just stupid.

Any blame should be aimed at Fryers who made a stupid attempt of a tackle whilst on a yellow in an area where there was no danger. Luckily we managed the situation well & got 3 points but he let his team mates down.

I read on the stanley forum that his second was a straight red. Is this true?
