    Patriotism in this country is almost frowned-upon if you are a native of these lands, I sometimes feel awkward even having patriotic thoughts such is the level at which it seems to be discouraged - in that to display patriotism is somehow racist and offensive to others.

    It's all a bit sad if you really think about it.

    Firstly, they are singing the tune not the words. Secondly, the actual words of the song have no relevance to anything being discussed here. It's about a man being deported to Australia for petty theft. A great many English, Welsh and Scots suffered the same fate. So no, they aren't morons (well not for that particular offence anyway!)
