Anyone live near there? Looking for a recommendation for a nice country pub to stay over, park for 2 weeks, then stay over again. I know there's loads of hotels around, but prefer something a bit more cosy and intimate.
a mate stayed here, it seemed to tick all the boxes for him http://springwoodgatwick.co.uk/why-choose-springwood/gatwick-stay-park-and-fly/
I live just down the road from there and yer it’s decent, can even walk to the airport from there it’s that close. A good restaurant within walking distance is ye olde six belles, best to book in advance like.
We stayed at this place: http://www.trumbles.co.uk/ Good, clean, plenty of parking and the family who own it run a free shuttle bus to drop you off and pick you up. They only do Breakfasts but theres 2 or three "Country Pubs" nearby. They were really good with us and let us book the room for 4 hours when we landed back just to get some kip and beat off jetlag before driving back. If we flew from Gatwick again we wouldn't bother looking anywhere else.
Last time we stayed over near Gatwick we happened upon a blinding Indian restaurant in Horley. Great food, friendly staff, 25% discount as it was a Wednesday (and it was pretty cheap anyway, especially for darn sarf) . Absolutely superb. The Curry Begal, 25 Station Rd, Horley
