The old saying, you can put a brush handle up in Barnsley and it will get in for Labour.
Realistically I am staunch Labour and will never vote Tory, although my circumstances say I would be better off with the Tories. I will not vote Tory but will definitely not vote for Corbyn. No time for the pollock. His ego has destroyed the Labour Party and I hope I am wrong but labour will not come second.
If they get in again, which they will, it will be a mandate for more misery for the working class. The NHS , social care , Disabled etc will be targeted even more
The only good thing that may happen is Corbyn gets his marching orders and they will have to physically manhandle him out.

Most Labour candidates will campaign on local issues and distance themselves from Corbyn. I agree with most of his policies but he is a total disaster as a leader. Not surprised at this cynical move by May cos she will get over a 200 majority. We are totally buggered in my opinion.

Really hate this put anything up for Labour in Barnsley and it will get in, as though it's something unique to Barnsley. Put same brush handle up for Tories in Windsor and Easton and guess what? I don't think Corbyn has an ego at all, indeed, I don't think he comes across strong enough at times. Remember prior to Corbyn how people moaned that the Labour Party weren't that much different to the Tories and change was needed. One thing is for sure whoever becomes the Labour leader the largely controlled zTory press and media will wage the usual vile campaigns against them.

I'm not sure why people keep saying Corbyn is a disaster and can never win/lead. I've seen a lot of people saying it but nothing that actually backs it up. I think people have heard it all from each other and now will make it true by not voting for him, because they think it already is. From living in a student area, it seems he has fired up this group of people to be more interested in politics than ever before. For once, I feel like we have someone actually different to vote for, rather than it being basically two of the same people who are marginally more left/right than the other but not really. I'm taking the stir he has caused and all the bad press (that isn't actually anything bad that I have seen, just pathetic attempts to make him look foolish) as a good sign that the Conservatives feel threatened by him.

It's time for the people to stand up for what's right. And to defend our country from those who want to exploit. Fir the own benefit

Well there have been two 'earthquake' election results in the last year JD, so maybe there will be one more! The problem is not Corbyn's popularity among the young and the new Labour members, but his acceptability among the wider electorate - particularly the relatively small number of swing voters in the marginal constituencies.

My beef with Corbyn is not that he is attacked by the media and made fun of ( all Labour leaders will get that) or his proper socialist attitude to politics. The problem is that he is a total ideolog who des not countenance opposing views. I liken him to Thatcher in that regard. He has made Labour unelectable not because of politics but his total inability to bring about any form of unity in the party. How can he expect to campaign nationally when most of his MPs will not support him. I don't think Corbyn is actually interested in winning an election. He's happy to lead a smaller party that tightly reflects his views. Momentum could well do to the Labour Party what militant tendency failed to do.

I think they're the lesser of the 2 evils when compared to the Tories, agree though it's not a great choice. I'd think about Lib Dems if they'd not bent over for the Tories.

Vote, or regret the next 5 years. Unlike the 16-17 years olds who didn't get a vote in the referendum and are not getting a vote in the GE either. My daughter will get her first vote on a national level when she is 22.

It doesn't matter who you vote for thanks to the archaic FPTP system. It ensures a vote cast in a safe seat like Barnsley has zero effect on the national result. All the voting power to influence the overall outcome lies in the marginal constituencies.

Jarvis is a fence sitter. Also a Blair lover (war criminal lover). Has a seat in Barnsley only because it is safe. Dugher is a dirty man. Ive heard a lot of stories about his "private" escapades. And hes wrote for the S*n newspaper

Obviously you can't speak for everyone but how do you reckon Scotland will vote? SNP as per the last time to show nationalism but presumably ensuring another Tory win or Labour to oust the Tories?
