5 goals in 8 appearances for Walsall. Is it a case of him finding his level, or playing in a style that suits him? Coincidentally, Conor Chaplin also scored again for Ipswich last night, which is now 4 goals in 6 appearances.
Good to see them both doing well. I got told off on here recently for admiring Alex Mowatt for doing well at WBA which I didn`t really understand.
Pleased for them all, they all tried their best in a Barnsley shirt and that's all I ask. Plus Alex and Conor did a lot of stuff off the pitch for the community .(maybe George did as well but nothing is coming to mind)
No problem with Conor Chaplin leaving. I'd have liked to have seen him out wide before he left. The Miller, Kane, Mallan, Schmidt, Knasmullner, Christenson, Jeronimo and Simeon Jackson one's annoy me most because they hadn't had a run out.
Remember the words the club have not sold a first team regular in the pre season transfer window for the first time in years!
Miller has found his level by dropping two leagues. Chaplin with all the injuries we've had would have been starting games for us.
Miller 'might' have broke his duck if given a run. Chaplin would have bagged at least one. That would have been two goals from open play. remember them, eh? But we'll simply never know. Football is all ifs and buts.
I trust the various coaches that didn't rate him at this level, however also conscious when he did play it was mostly out of position.
Chaplin would walk into our team at the moment.[/QUOTE] Agreed but only with a Manager that would pick him
We need to try and get some sort of fee for Miller in Jan. Will probably only be five figures, but better than nothing. Then would expect Thomas to be sold in the summer, as well as Aitchison. Kane should be recalled in Jan imo.
Those decisions were made to support the playing style of a coach that had no intention of staying and by a CEO that had no intention of staying.
Miller took some right stick on various forums & social media , some of the comment were quite insulting , he was completely written off by many an armchair expert & to top it all when the lad did get a chance our wonderful coach played him at wing back , they say you couldn"t make it up which is certainly true in this case, I hope the lad carries on to prove all the experts & all the doubters wrong & continues to progress , I have always said that I will judge a player when I have seen him a few times & when he has had opportunities but our fans have a habit of writing players off before they have even signed never mind played & George Miller is such an example , well done George , keep it up.
