If he'd bided his time, like Sam Morsy, he'd have had the opportunity to shine by now and would have kept Josh Kay in the U23 set-up. I thought both did well yesterday.
Only been a couple of blips to sort and hecky has been bang on with both. Moncur and Hammill both having little tiffs. One got moved on, the other got benched. Can't imagine for one second that Moncur is thinking he made the right choice. Hope he returns in Jan with his head screwed back on. Don't think he will though. Personally don't think he'll kick another ball for us.
Moncur left of his own accord has he didn't back his own ability to play at this level. I very much doubt he will return with an improved attitude.
Saw his sub appearance on TV against Bury a couple of weeks ago.looked unfit and low on energy.absolutely no way does he fit in with what we do.be surprised if he ever plays for us don't think he'll ever play above league one level Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Hecky said that he dint want him to go, but stay and fight for a place.. So that points to someone higher up the Oakwell ladder decided let him go. With Connor and Scowan out of contract, Morsy loan ending.. Next season's mid-field, who's to say what it will look like, Moncur as every chance of being in it.
You may well be right. I mentioned a few weeks ago how the vast majority of our players come across extremely well in interviews. Most of them seem very bright and articulate, but Moncur came across as being a complete plank. Plank or not, I hope he comes back in January and proves people wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.
welll looking at this , his CV does not totally inspire does it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Moncur seems he has a pair of boots that are way too small for him IMHO
Jeez, Some good bargaining needs to be done to recoup some of this cost. Hope he`s gone in January personally.
