Agree with that, particularly the trenches bit. Not sure he ever gets the credit he deserves for his part in the Liverpool success story, possibly because he was surrounded by such marvellously cultured players most of the time. He was a right dirty b*gger though when he wanted to be, I'll never forget that challenge in the Rangers-Steaua Suckabrest game, actually made me wince. Got worse as he got older, like most supposedly hard-man players do when time eventually catches up with them. Get well soon Souey.
exactly, he was an appalling over rated dirty player who went out of his way to injure the opposition. Best of luck to him in his recovery though.
