TPS doesn't affect scam callers though, it only discourages cold callers in the UK who are honest but trying to sell you something.

I know exactly what you mean I do one of two things
1 either answer the phone saying South Yorkshire police or
2 blow a whistle down the phone
In my case it all started when I bought my car insurance online, they prey on the gullible anyone who is daft enough to listen to there call deserves all they get

I keep getting calls to tell me my Sky service contract has expired and needs renewing, I’m receiving 1 a week at the moment. Depending on my mood and their manner I either string them along for as long as I can before revealing that I haven’t had Sky for 10 years, tell them politely and ask them to remove my number from their system or just abuse them from as soon as I know why they’re calling. It’s mostly the last option now as I’m sick of hearing that my number will be removed but it never is it seems.
