I do realise that but I am sure that they will spend more than the old owners and we can afford slightly higher profile manager than Grant McCann otherwise we are no better off for having new owners. I am still thinking that Mr Lee and co are here to progress us up the leagues with the ultimate goal being premiership and to do that they will have to splash a bit of cash.

I'm expecting a Holloway or Neil Lennon or Big Mick as I'm not sure who else will take him who are above us or a decent foreign coach, I'm not looking lower league up and coming managers. I may be wrong but that's the direction I thought we were going as we need quick success which has more chance coming from an established manager than a punt. I'm even expecting a couple of non spreadsheet players coming in with a bit of experience.

Young, attack minded, experienced in L1, used to developing young talented, took a poor/cheap squad to within whisker of playoffs in his first ever crack at management.

More I think more I would be happy with him. Or Hurst, Ainsworth or Clarke.

A fresh, hungry and inspirational young manager who can really build something. Any of those above will do.

Couldn't agree more. Astounded that people rather get someone like Holloway or Lennon.

Same ones that were probably delighted with Morais.

Let’s leave it to the owners to hopefully not make the same mistake twice!

Just to be clear I didn't say I wanted Holloway or Lennon just that that's the route I thought the new board would go, saying that though my choice is Big Mick only because if I was having a bet I would put money on him rather than Hurst Ainsworth McCann etc to get us promoted this season. Morais was a disaster and a gamble but with his experience in the game could have worked out but it didn't.

They didn't take us down as such but yes its true we went down under there tenure, there is a difference. It was mentioned to them in there first press conference that relegation was a possibility they responded by saying that's the last thing they want but if it was to happen they were here for the long haul.Don't forget they let the previous manager before Jose bring in 7 new recruits in January.

Source of this rumour is the Peterboro owner on twitter... saying that McCann has a busy weekend to pick from 3 jobs, so folk have lumped on me thinks/hopes
    Also so has Warburton..
And also a name out of the blue Ian Cathro... dint Nixon say we were in for a British based manager who is not even in the betting..

    Yep.
None - absolutely none of the British based managers has got me the least bit excited - and that includes Mick McCarthy.

We seem to be still linked with lower league managers like we were under Patrick Cryne.

Things have changed at Oakwell and these new owners have their first opportunity to sit and think and then appoint a manager that will send out the right message.

The new manager has to be a name that will attract players and foreign players to the club.

we're in the ale house, no proven good manager wants to manage there, our only option is up and comers, lower league merrygorounders or random foreigners that none of us have heard of like JM

Here’s an idea, why doesn’t everyone have some patience, wait to see who it is and support them instead of bleeting incesantly everyday of the week, it’s just as bad on here as it is on twitter swear to god we’ve got some proper clowns for supporters

No one makes you look on here or twitter.. What are you supposed to do on a football forum if not speculate.. it is you with the problem, wanting reality to be different from what it actually is..

There’s a difference between speculating and talking crap, I mean the blokes not even been appointed and already every ones calling him crap, whinging about owners that have been here 5 months. You’d think some people were 6 and not 60 with how they through toys out of pram when they don’t get their own way

Did I say you should be over the moon or did I say stop bleeting like a child and have some patience, we relegated ourselves last summer with poor recruitment, very little the board could have done is there, Morais was a gamble that failed, we’d probably still have gone down if Hecky had been here
