A very tricky one. Think I would have to plump for Clive Baker. However, who remembers centre forward Glyn Riley deputising in goal at Fulham on a cold friday night in the late 70s. A game we won 3-2. Memories!
Mr D Watson A quality keeper, who would have played regularly for someone in the premiership, if it wasn't for injuries.
Best ever since ive been watching Bobby Horn or Gary Peirce. Two very good keepers. Mind you we had some good defenders back then too. I dont think a Barnsley side has come close to being as good defensively as back then. im sure someone with the stats will prove me wrong.
Best keeper at playing outfield: clive baker - he was a great player, he used to run rings round many of the players in training. They used to make him go back in the nets because he was making em look bad.
Best for entertainment: lee butler - Never a dull moment, hopefully muller can provide some more of this.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! he is the most overrated keeper we've ever had! did old mr scissorhands ever claim a cross? I'd go for Heinz at the mo. In my 12 years of going to oakwell there's been sod all decent to choose from really apart from Beresford
Clive Baker Considering he wasn't very tall for a keeper, he was very good. Once remember him saving a penalty from John Aldridge v Oxford. One of the first games I ever went to.
Possibly Baker, but Bobby Horn and Andy Rhodes were good Rhodes was particularly unlucky, being the first choice when we signed Baker and broke a finger in the first game of the season at Grimsby, Baker took his chance and Rhodes never got back in the side.
RE: What about Wardle? Promising young keeper who got crocked? Hmmm, sounds like you're confusing him with Watson! Wardle was a young 'keeper who we wer told was promising in the youth team and when he actually made it into the side was absolutely *****. Seem to think he retired because no-one wanted to sign him after we released him for this reason and he drifted into non-league?
Lee Butler No better or worse than anyone that preceeded or followed but knew how to work a audience. And has a cousin who is married to one of the worlds best ever drummers.FACT
RE: What about Wardle? I seem to remember him as a decent young keeper. Didnt he get badly injured away at Port Vale when Steve Cooper went in goal? Maybe im wrong like..........
He sure did, however he came of the production line of midget goalies we produced who couldnt catch to save their lives.
