Fully entitled to your opinion DT. However he's 30 now and there's no doubt that his career is on the wane, but like a lot of our fans, I respect what Adam Hammill has done for our Club and I hold him in the same high regard that I have for David Currie, Paul Futcher, Neil Redfearn, Craig Hignett, John Hendrie, Conor Hourihane and many others who have played a significant role in the development of our Club down the years.
I think he'd tear this league up. He may not be as quick, but he has quality. The last 18 months, he's been trying to beat teams on his own and got double marked every week. Our midfield and full backs didn't help him much, nor did our strikers being so static a lot of the time and missing tap ins he sometimes created for them. He's unattached so could be signed any stage. Even if just for a season if he's nothing else, he'd be a fantastic addition and can continue to speak highly about the club to the younger players. Gives his all and experience and know how. Sadly it doesn't look like the powers that be want him.
