You thought Struber was waiting way too long to make the substitutions. More proof, if it were needed, that we all know nowt
The subs were the wrong ones, too. Why tha bringing Oduor on, Struber? What's going through thi mind? Oh.
Me. Was screaming to change it not just because we needed to win but also because I thought we were just letting Benrahma win the game. WTF do I know?
Yup, same with us. He's made similar switches before. My interpretation is that without Brown and Chaplin up front the whole system goes out of the window as no one else has the energy to do what they do. With them on the field we can keep Brentford pinned back in their own half, hopefully nick the ball off them and score, but also, while ever they're in their own half they've no chance of scoring against us. Trouble is, the players more likely to actually score for us are Woodrow and Schmidt, but if we bring them on the pressing game has gone and we're far more likely to concede. So he waits as long as possible, goes Banzai for 5 minutes, hopes they get the goal then cling on for grim death.
I don't know what you were all panicking for. Personally I thought he brought them on a little early *Ahem*
Absolutely perfect mate. We were all screaming in our house for a sub. Struber, I am sorry and I love ya! What a night!
I was going batshit crazy screaming at the TV. Couldn't understand why he'd left it so late. Then one sub gets the assist, the other gets the winner. Amazing Jay was spot on though. Chaplin and Brown's constant pressing and chasing down was absolutely essential tonight. They were both superb and ran their blood to water
Love it , live it , breath it, dream it. The town, the people the very essience ...........BARNSLEY, oooh yyyyeah
He’s got them all right hasn’t he? Halme against Luton, Schmidt against Forest, Oduor & Schmidt tonight. What I still can’t get my head around is there were posts on here telling him he was picking the wrong teams after we’d completely outplayed Leeds & Forest
Schmidt's composure to square it to Oduor (rather than smashing it towards goal) was outstanding! I usually get that sinking feeling when Paddy enters the field of play but the last two games he has really shown his worth. Excited for next season!
