I’d recommend reading the sovereign individual by Jacob Rees Mogg dad. May highlight that brexit was just the beginning

Asked many people on the day of the vote and will keep asking. What in the last 5 years has it brought us thats positive and what will we expect next 5 years thats positive?

I have a long list of the negative things its brought / may bring.

I took a box with me for my first 30 day stint on an oil rig. I thought I’d be bored off shift and the tampon packaging said I could do swimming, cycling, horse riding ,,,,,,,,

The stark reality is that no one knows what the exact future holds for us. With the Tories
saying "we " are now in charge of our own future "destiny", chills me to the bone quite frankly.
For "we" please read " they".

The initial views of our hard working trawlermen tells us that the deal is not a good one for them.
Time alone will tell whether it benefits other trading/ operational sectors.

As I and others have said previously , as a deterrent to any other EU States attempting to follow our lead,
I honestly can't see that the deal we have been given will benefit us in the overall long term.

It's not all bad news with Brexit, Gibraltar gets special Brexit arrangments by joining the EU Schengen zone with all its advantages.
On the border with Spain, Spanish citizens can walk into Gib with no prob's but British citizens cannot just cross the border without due checks.
Spain will also take over the management of Gibraltar's ports and airports aded by Frontex an EU organisation so when you arrive in Gibraltar with your brand new blue passports there will be no passing straight through like you have in the past you'll be told to get in the queue with the other none EU countries and people like Stan Johnson with his French passport will just walkthrough. But hay we were told by these Brexiteers we were taking back our sovereignty sounds to me as though we are losing it. Gibraltar ny on to a man vote to stay in the E.U. and by god they have just got a deal to suit them better than the one they had no arguing with the Spanish now so it's not all bad news.

What are we going to start producing ? We're not self sufficient in food, in fact we currently import 55%, with the biggest quota coming from the EU. Our biggest export is financial services, a substantial part of which is moving to Frankfurt and Paris.

My question is, can anybody even imagine a scenario where a tory government would negotiate one single thing that will benefit people such as us. The nearest I can come up with is a cut in Kleenex tax so it’s cheaper for them to wipe away their tears of laughter that some of us voted for them, of which a by product will be cheaper tissues for us wipe our tears of pain and embarrassment!

That’s not how the world works.

It’s impossible to be isolationist in the current world.

Nothing to do with Brexit. They’ve implemented it today to try and con the nation into thinking it’s a benefit of leaving.

    Germany implemented it in 2019.

I’m not sure he means just produce everything and be self sufficient. (Even if, as someone who I assume is an environmentalist, you should want).
I think he means it would be nice to have some more produce/goods made in the UK rather than importing, not just be isolationist and shut off the world.
Yes, I am aware with this government in charge, this isn’t how it will pan out, which is why now, more than ever, we need to get these w@nkers out of government, and put in a far left, environmentally aware government who can move the UK forward. Unfortunately, now JC has gone, we only have the greens with that quite far left, environmentalist agenda, and I don’t see them being in power anytime soon unfortunately.

    Cant wait.

Scotland without English money is about as well run financially as Greece.
