Think its anybody who dunt see the loss of lindsey and pinnock as a positive move and an opportunity for "new heroes"..
Yep - nobody is moaning about the new signings - because 99% on here thought these owners weren’t likely to sign players costing any money. Initial Post should really be asking ‘which of you lot thought these new owners wouldn’t spend amounts of money not seen at Barnsley before’? And then just stand back and watch the avalanche of excuses with many denying ‘it wasn’t me guv’.
10,000 season tickets sold, how many don’t believe. So many fans are negative let’s all be positive. I know I sound like a preacher......but it’s only because I have faith.
The board have repeatedly told us what they are going to do. They said they would reinvest incoming transfer fees and utilise the extra revenue from moving back into the Championship. We have got fees in and/or freed up wages on seven players and brought in nine. Of those nine I don't think any would have been on huge money at their previous clubs and should certainly fit into our wage structure. So it seems to me that those of us with a level head are very pleased they've reinvested and done so in an exciting manner. But as yet they aren't throwing wads of extra cash around. There, that's as respectfully as I can phrase it.
I was really disappointed we sold Pinnock and I still believe we could and should have got more for him or that for 3m it would have been more beneficial to keep him for a season. Understand Davies completely, and Lindsay as I think he is replaceable. Still think the fee was a bit light. The new signings look promising, with hope of Koné coming in too, who looks decent but obviously they’re all untested. However, it is what I would expect - we were told that the incoming monies would be reinvested in the team. We have had our defence ripped out. Wouldn’t expect us to finish any higher than 16th for that reason. Stendel must be tied down to a new contract
To be honest most folk on here are level headed, yes there’s some over the top reactions when players leave but at least they praise the club when needed, for me it’s the one or two that you never hear a word from when we’re making signings but are quick to attack when we lose a player, then they’re like a rabid dog,
