I agree with you on this one. I can't see Fletcher coming back, hope I'm wrong though!

 

Tahh lass, and Id be delighted to be proved wrong here, but Fletch isnt coming back is he. And whats worse here is that even if he did come back, would Hecky still pratt about with the 1 up front thing!.

 

We woudlnt have have done it without fletcher. Just look how many games he won us. One of the best young players ive seen down at oakwell and i was gutted when we couldn't get him back last season. id be seriously considering the season ticket i aint got this year as well if we did get him back id be that buzzed. Gutted im not going to make the games this season but needs must.

 

I can't see it happening tbh! That's true I hate 1 up front, it never seems to work well for us. We've not got the right striker for that system at the moment.

 

Fair point, I admit, but there might need to be a shift in policy now that we have had one season in the Championship and want to consolidate and build from here. I agree that it is 'lost money,' but so would relegation be if the squad quality cannot be developed, especially in terms of goalscorers. Might be the best way.

Yes. Ok. and it isn't me either, but 'man in pub' says (ie the board), so must be true! You may be right to doubt the 'we,' but quite a lot on this board is approximately right. Just a thought anyhow, as there seems to be more than a whiff of truth about the Fletcher rumour and that would be the only way I can see that we could afford to bring him in.

Wages £140k per week, £13 million fee. ( see No 42 on the 3rd page of the string)
If it does go through as reported in the Chronicle it could well trigger the loan of Fletcher
to us. Let's hope it's now sooner rather than later.
