I've never hired a skip before so don't know how much I should expect to pay - small skip needed for disposal of top soil couple of days hire

    Can anyone

    a) give me an estimate of how much I should expect to pay
    b) recommend a skip hire firm in the Wombwell area

    TIA

I paid about £80 a couple of years back for a mid sized one when we had kitchen fitted. Can't remember who we used though, just got a number out of the Independent.

Wilko - it's typically about four and a half grand for a medium size skip, or 6 grand for a large one.

I know a great firm, though, TM's Skips, that could do it for about half that. Why don't you give me, er, them a ring and they'll sort it all out for you.

Make sure you get a date off them when they want it back. We got home one day to find that the Skip that we had only half filled, had been taken away. When we asked why they had taken it, they just said they needed it back.

Kingsley skip hire are very good, you get your moneys worth lol.

I hired one from somewhere I cant remember the name of for 3 day and my work took a bit longer than first thought, They turned up for the skip up for the skip on the third day while I was using it.

Got one from kingsley skip hire and had it for about 3 weeks until r'lass got fed up of seeing it and made them come and get it. same happened to my mate

think its about 65 quid for smallest and 80 quid for next size so you may as well get the next size up. Supposed to be for about a week with kingsley
