or rather lack of it. I can get wifi connection at home or elsewhere, no problem, but if I'm out and try to connect via Mobile Data it tells me I have no internet connection. Even at home I can't access mobile data by itself. I can make phone calls so my sim card must be ok, I imagine. I come on here having trawled the interweb to no avail, knowing you lot will tell me how to fix it.
Yes, and I've switched wifi off just to see if it connects. And it doesn't. Only connects when wifi is switched back on.
Do you even have data as part of your contract, If so how much, and are you sure you just haven't ran out of data... (Apps can run in background and still eat up data, especially if you only have a small allowance)
Switching off WiFi alone won't automatically assume mobile data. On mine, I have to go: Settings Network and internet Internet Tesco (SIM) Cog (settings) Tick ON for the mobile data option. So essentially, it will be in your SIM card settings
What phone is it? - Android, Apple or something else. IIRC on Apple, you can turn off data for your network connection but still receive calls.
Yes there's enough left to work with. It says I haven't used any data this month ... obviously I haven't cos I can't.
Have you rung your network provider (who are they). Vodafone helped me the other month when I couldn't access the internet. For info - they told me to take out the SIM / reboot the phone / reinsert the SIM / Reconnect to Vodafone. This worked for me
Does your phone need updating? I’d try checking for updates, fully switching it off, removing and reinserting sim, switching airplane mode on and off and turning Bluetooth off.
