Confidence booster for us tonight and I think that the home win will give us some much needed confidence. Lee Cattermole made a huge difference and I think we have eventually found a balanced formation again. Not a classic performance and we looked shaky at the back again but we looked good going forward again. You and Luton are both still in the box seats but I hope we can make it a bit more interesting again.
Just a bit of banter mate , Long way to go yet plenty of twists and turns before final countdown . Burton frustrated us tonight and too many players on off days but given our displays and results since before Christmas we can forgive em one . Pompey were 12 points or more above us before Christmas and we’ve done brilliant to catch that up . It’ll be a close run league this year no doubt about it but I think we’ll be there personally and Luton will slip up.
It's great banter on here mate, love it. It's a long haul this season like, as you say Portsmouth were well clear and look how it's turned around. There's no easy games in this league like, if you're not on it anyone can take points off any other team.
Full ground at Pompey on Saturday hopefully it’ll put sh its up em and they’ll collapse It’s a game we’re well capable of winning and we’ll be up for it . I think it’s make or break for Pompey in autos and I don’t mean to be arrogant in that but recent results and their fans criticism of their performances says they aren’t confident . Donny could put a run together but I think they’ve left themselves a lot to do tbh. It’s looking more and more likely a three horse race and it’s who blinks first imo .

Yeah you are playing Portsmouth at a great time, can't see you losing that one and as you say of you beat them then that could be them done for the top 2. Having said that there's still loads of points to play for. I've read some of the other threads on our forum and on here and it's a shame people end of arguing but everyone wants the same thing - their team to do well and at times their are overeactions and exaggerations galore. I still have a soft spot for Barnsley and genuinely hope it's us and you who finish top 2. I suppose if we all took exception to everything and everyone no one would end up speaking to anyone else. Hope I'm still welcome to post on the board going forward.
Yes be interesting at Pompey that’s for sure . Thing is if they try to play football I think we’ll beat em hands down so it depends how they set up imo. Yeah there’s arguing on most boards I’ve read tbh but mostly on here some argue on one subject and unite on another , there are a few exceptions . As far as I’m concerned mate your quiete welcome to post on here anytime and would imagine most posters will agree. We have a few from other clubs already tbh one from Cardiff comes on now and again and although he hasn’t been on in a while one from Reading who sometimes posts an inter forum competition. Imo it’s always good to hear other forums views see how the other half live so to speak .
Well I was mainly on about it not being cringey that fans post on other forums in general. I also found Spender’s post useful in his brief description of how they played last night. How they are still a bit ‘ shakey’ in defence etc. What’s to bite us on the arse, the fact that they could overtake us into second place. That’s a possibility, not something that I see as biting us on the arse. Can tell we didn’t win yesterday.
Similar to me, you only get part of the story of a game from the bbc stats website, I can see how much possession you've had and how many shots on target but you get the real insight to how a team has played from its fans. I've said for weeks our problem is our defence, we've scored goals regularly all season. I think we might be the only team to have scored in every league game so far but we rarely keep clean sheets and in games when we are not really under much pressure like last night. If we sort our back 4 out we will get close to being in the top 2. Leadbitter has made a big difference in that we have started scoring from set pieces which we haven't done all season. He has 5 assists from his 5 appearances which is a major boost for us. We lost our way a bit went Chris Maguire went off first half last night otherwise I think we would have won more comfortably as he has looked excellent since getting back in the team. Our team spirit is good, McGeady gave the first penalty to Grigg last night to help him get off the mark last night which was good to see.
