Hi, I am Jacqueline a 24 year old primary school teacher, and life long Barnsley fan.
Welcome to the board. Primary school should set you up nicely for some of the stuff on here.
Hello Jacqueline both your job and affinity to the reds demand a lot of hard work at times. What was the first game you saw at Oakwell mine was Port Vale 2-0 on a Friday evening circa 1968 just before Neil Armstrong said "this is one small step for man one giant leap for mankind "
I presume by "just before", you mean about a year (Neil Armstrong was July 20th 1969 @ 20:18 UTC) - or the Port Vale match was sometime in 1969...
It was February 98, Wimbeldon aged 5. A 2 1 Win and a rare one in the premier league.
Hi , I am Andy a 48 year old grumpy ******* , that's because I'm a life long Barnsley fan .
Welcome aboard the good ship BBS.
I'm Kevin, an old, fat, grumpy archaeologist and former wrestler.
For archaeologist I read anarchist............must go to opticians ....... or be a referee
2 goals from Jan Arge Fjortoft remember drawing at Plough Lane last away game on a Monday evening in May 1979 when we drew 1 each and both Barnsley amd the Wombles were promoted to Division3. Wimbledon went from Southern League to Premier League in 13 years. The crazy gang are hoping to go back to Plough Lane next season. Nice time to be a Reds supporter in Premier League season good run in FA Cup as well.
Welcome on-board fellow educator! Scary I've been teaching for more years than you've been on this planet - god I feel old!!!!

Hi. I am a Arab and the boards resident SNP voter. I like to remain anonymous so I shall refrain from giving out my name.
BTW my daughter is also a teacher in Shetland.
Hiya, the more the merrier
Hello, we've already met on the other thread. I'm a 29 year old (for the next couple of weeks) teacher-turned-librarian.
Hi Jacqueline, I'm 56, former Nurse, now working with Additional Needs Learners. I loved working in Primary schools but felt I was being pushed away because I was a man. I'm married to a Teacher and understand the difficulties of being a Teacher in the UK. It's great to hear of a young woman who supports their local team. I hope you will enjoy the discussions on here, they are not always negative or offensive, but sometimes even moving and informative.
All the best to you.
Hi, I’m Andy, I have IBS.
35 year old, never been to watch football.
Partial to cheese. But never with biscuits.
