the neighbours never shut up with their stupid bass! It was bad enough when it was all evening but it’s all day now too.

    About that base :D

Tell them to turn it down. If they are decent people they will understand.

Set their house on fire. Bonus point if they've already used up their daily going out allowance, and consequently have to burn with it.

You could annoy them by playing classical music loudly.
    Or jazz.

    1. Let them know that you're working at home and they need to be quieter.

    2. If no result, get the council involved. Alternatively if you're angry enough, move to either stage 3a or 3b.

3a. Go out into the street and shout loudly for them to turn the bloody noise down. Public embarrassment is a powerful weapon against some people.

3b. Fight fire with fire. Start early and keep it going long into the night. Repeat daily until they get the message. Don't forget to turn your speakers to the wall.

Sometimes it's horses for courses, so you need to understand a little of your neighbours mindset. I've used the first 3 above at various times, with 100% success. Living in a detached house I've never tried the last one, more's the pity. Sounds like fun. :)

Our next door neighbour looked over the fence at the wend to apologise for all the noise of building work they’d been doing since we came back off holiday.
No worries says I; you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do.

cheerily he says - they’ll not be doing any more at weekends... his face dropped when I told him me and the Mrs are working from home for the foreseeable, he says he’ll be digging up a concrete floor and it’s going to be horrible.

We’ll have to put up with it, says I.

Have a chat; they might be reasonable.

I’ve fallen out with every neighbour I’ve ever had. Just unlucky I guess...

Yeah, 3 times now. I think they think we’re miserable and the neighbours from hell for always moaning but we wouldn’t moan if they didn’t do it. Will has just gone around to tell them again now, it always terrifies me. I really don’t want to cause a fuss but I can’t ignore it either.

I've had trouble with neighbours. There is nothing worse. Also had trouble with a business premises
that backs on to the curtilage of our property.

Regarding neighbours, we have a shared drive and their kids and mates were using it to play football.
Only problem was, they were hitting our windows and doors and took no notice when I raised the matter
with them and their parents. The solution was a six foot fence and double gates. Neighbours not spoken
    to us since.

The business, nuisance by noise from a fan cooling the fridges in the shop. Approached the owner and
he wouldn't do anything. Public Health, Council and MP all involved and eventually got a Court order banning
the use of the fan in the future. Current owner couldn't be more amenable. Routed all fans to the front of the
shop, clad a storage shed in brickwork to fit in with the shop and removed some very bright lights that ran round
the entire fascia of the garage.

Have you thought of any audio that can cancel out the bass frequency?
