Must be. Can only assume that in the absence of response from Plobby No way an Indian can be bothered abart BFC is there?
When I say "I remain to be convinced" it's fairly obvious I'm stating a personal opinion. Anyway, thrilling though this is, I've got to go and turn my sausages over!
Ok M'Lud. You carry on being a poor imitation of a poster who was an intellectual fraud. That's a bit subtle but I'm sure you get the gist. Hope you're grilling them sausages.
It's too late now but we were desperate for 3/4 quality players in January. We got Keiffer Moore and Oil Mcburnie which is fair enough because they are both decent but the nett spend was off set by the sale of MacDonald. We needed more quality in midfield but got nothing , we needed a new keeper but got nothing, we couldn't even get the guy from Oxford .But hey were not gonna go crazy guys.
Yes - but not on a 'George Foreman'. Not sure who you're referring to, but us Kendray lads have no pretensions to intellect!
So you’re basing it all on the first transfer window that they had 14 days (days not working days) to prepare for. We should have started preparing for Jan in September
In terms of the soul of the club it’s been missing since John Dennis left and we went into administration. We took the route of sacking long term class committed ancillary staff and outsourcing everything. We were a community club. We have lost that.
Fair point. But not the fault of the new owners. We could have had a wider ownership structure, again rooted in the local community but the previous owner was not interested
You are surely having a laugh regarding Yiadom , since the turn of the year he has been our most consistent player , gives his all every game & if you did not know he was out of contract in the summer you would not be able to tell, if we had eleven players in the team with his ability & attitude we would not be in a mess that we are
No I'm not basing it all on the January transfer window but it was last chance saloon to improve the team significantly and they didn't The new owners made their intentions crystal clear when they took over which is fair enough. Different owners same old struggles really .
But do you see that it was a rushed transfer window and not perhaps representative of what they might be prepared to do? If the recruitment in the summer is riddled with punts again then what you can say is they are blindly following the plan, just like the last owners. If that means they don’t care, it surely means the last didn’t either?
I don’t need to be an expert to suggest signing players from L2 and non-league )Scotland) might not deliver enough players good enough often enough to stay up
Ffs Yiadom gone ? You talk ******** with all due respect . AY is our best player by a country mile and when there’s a queue for his services in the summer that’ll be confirmation that you know very little about football ! #justsaying
Your original post "how did we end up with a squad like this".... I know the irony is there but looking from where we are now its simple......we sold 9 of our best players in a very short time and then expected inferior players to fill in and do the same job that a team 2 years in the building and in a division lower did. There were lots of mistakes.....and before that spectacular highs....but the truth is that as much as we had it right 3 to 4 seasons ago....our recruitment needed drastically amending to fit this league. All in my opinion of course!!
I don’t blame the new owners and agree that much could have been done by Patrick in this regard. Mansford started making some inroads into it but then it stopped again. If the new owners want to improve things this is the area I would concentrate on.
I wonder about this too. What would become of us if they decide not to? A £20million sale to the first person - be their intentions noble or malign - who can come up with the funds, at a guess. That sounds like a bleak future to me.
