How difficult is it to get a CEO

    What business would allow fail to appoint a CEO for months? Strange move last time appointing the head of marketing to CEO too.

    Depends if you want a decent one. The majority of businesses take a while to appoint a CEO as it's an important position to get right.

    I echo Blivy's point.

    Much prefer the club take their time to get this appointment right. Hopefully, they'll get some one in soon and in time to conduct the transfers in the summer.

    My only niggle is that it would be nice for the club to provide an update on the situation. Even if it's on the lines of...

    ...had X number of applicants for the position and we will provide a shortlist by Y. We hope to interview and make an appointment by Z.

    Also, I hope the club starts to think about the long term and put together a process that will avoid this scenario in the future. If we continue to progress then it's high likely that the successful candidate will be poached in the future and it would be good that we have some sort of succession planning in place.

    I think Spinks also had an assistant from some point around 1994, Chris Patzelt? As well as the formal company secretary, he was also General Manager. CS at moment I gather is Robert Zuk, he took this role on as Linton Brown left I believe.

    That's correct. Metatarsal, though conor says he was ceo I don't think he's correct Spinks went from chairman of the supporters club to company secretary

    Most CEOs will be in work (if we're after a decent one) with 6 months notice period. We may have hired one straight after the last one left but he/she still can't start with us yet.
