Completely disagree about him never being championship class. I thought he played well for us when he came and he’ll have certainly had championship teams looking at him. Mick’s opinion isn’t the be all and end all of the championship, particularly as he had Frank Nouble in his squad for so long.
I think he,ll get better ,think your wrong when you say he,s not championship class just cos he had an average season when we were there. His control and finishing have already improved this season think you will be proved wrong,
I think you are in dreamland re. Adenboyejo. He runs into blind alleys, and he's at least two years from being a L1 striker.
Agree, was great that Victor has had a taste and scored a couple of goals but his overall game is a long way from being first 11 standard. Hopefully over this year he’ll improve and really challenge next year. Once Hedges, Izzy, Woodrow and the new lad are fully fit then can see him sliding backwards & if he does I think a January loan to get first team games will be important. He can hold the ball up and is strong but you need more than that & he just doesn’t have it yet. His introduction didn’t help the team at all today. But he’s young and hopefully will improve. Keiffer Moore was a colossus today. Deserved at least 3 goals.
Seems abit raw to me still only 20 years old if we had enough strikers we could of loaned him out to get regular game time but we haven't and no doubt he will be blooded into the first team this season because we have little options. Although no subs did great today I forgot mcgheen had even come on untill he gave the ball away.
Kieffer Moore scored 6 goals in his first 6 League One games for Rotherham last season as well. It's not a case of him getting better. He is walking proof that defences are harder to unlock in the Championship.
I think Moore is going to keep getting better - he's a key part of the side, relied upon, will play every game he's fit. I think he's a real 'confidence player' - when he's on form it's hard to see him not getting 5-6 chances a game due to the way he dominates defenders. At this level, defenders are either not good enough or not experienced enough to handle him. Whether he could reproduce that at Championship level or at a bigger club doesn't matter right now - if he does well for us he'll either get us promoted and get another shot, or be transferred for good money. Just because he wasn't ready before doesn't mean he won't be in the future. If he keeps up his current form, he's going to be brilliant to watch.
Ronnie Moore had the same opinion on Football Heaven - when we signed him last year. Not Championship level - well he certainly shines in League One and didn't score many goals for us last season. This jury is out....
The whole section would be better with more detail. For record appearances put the seasons he was here for. For record goals in a season put the season. For those who have scored five in a game who was it against and when? It's really basic information when it could be a fountain of knowledge.
Honestly think he’s been superb since he’s joined. I don’t do many aways so can’t argue about them games but he’s been consistently good at home since January, his work rates unbelievable
He’s proved he can score goals in this league before. Everyone know he can. He wasnt very good in the champ
Connor wickham ten mill donkeys years ago at age 17. Lookman ten million to everton. Its about time Barnsley woke up. Given the money in football now 5 million today is the equivalent of 250k in 1997 its peanuts
