Getting married during the football season. I have now realised that I miss the Ipswich game.

They have all summer to get married, why wait while the football season starts.

That's it. I'm forming a 5-a-side team to coincide with the bake off being on TV.

Just send a cheap bail of towels and a card with your fondest regards.

Most marriages end in divorce anyway, BFC is for life.

Do you know what's even worse, she's having 2 weddings! One (the proper one) on 24th and then a celebration event thing on 26th. I'm only invited to the 2nd one but I might tell her it's the 1st or nothing.

Let's just say that someone was going to lend someone else their season ticket for a match they couldn't make. And let's just say that the person they wanted to lend it to was of the opposite sex. Would the turnstyle operator be able to tell just from scanning it? As in, does the name come up on their little screen or is it just that green tick? I know the name is printed on the card but that's never looked at.

    Asking for a friend.

I believe, whether right or wrong, they turn a blind eye.

In fact someone borrowed my daughters juvenile ticket last season, and because I didn't want a black mark against my name, or her ticket being withdrawn, I insisted he go to the box office and have it upgraded to an adults. Think they appreciated his honesty, charged him the difference, and all was fine.

I've seen adults in front of me being turned away when trying to use a juvenile card before on two separate occasions.

Rightly so too, but on the occasion I let someone borrow a child's ticket, I insisted he pay to upgrade.
I think Loaning an adult ticket, to an adult, must surely be acceptable. You've paid for your seat and if you could be there, you would be.

My card came today and it clearly says on the accompanying letter "Please remember that Season Tickets are non-transferrable without prior authorisation from the Club and are for the sole use of the person named on the card"

I would count taking it to the box office, before entering the ground, as prior authorisation.

I agree, however the club could deny the entry if they please.

I imagine they would allow it though

There's 100% no way my friend's dad would be going otherwise so they're not losing out but I do accept that it's supposed to be for the card holder. I'm just wondering whether the name appears when scanned or not.

My mum used to use my dad's. Many years ago now, but my dad could only get to about half the games, so my mum used to use his season ticket and buy one for the remaining games. After a while it became better value for us all to have a season ticket.

It was tickets in books back then like.
