I see Brad Potts has got back in Preston's side again recently. I wonder if he's been injured or just out of favour? Same goes for Ethan Pinnock at Brentford, I think.

Or restoring bursaries so students can afford to train. In the meantime the need is now, not 5 years time.

As a percentage, how many white English doctors have treated you in your lifetime?

There are 41,000 nursing vacancies in the NHS. So this 39,000 new nurses will not even fill all the current vacancies.

Stopping immigration is not the answer and yes I voted Brexit and would do so again, there are some fantastic immigrants who have come over here and are a credit to the nhs and themselves, and others in different fields, many people tar the brush " brexit voters want to stop ALL immigrants " we dont, yes like in anything you get an element whether that's right or left wing. Personally I think having a strict border policy is a good thing, both for getting the right skill set in when required and as a good basis for security.

    You are.
It’s the obvious flip side, reduce the number of people working = shrinking the economy.

unless you’ve a brilliant explanation for how reducing the number of workers doesn’t lower productivity.

Your ‘strict border policy’ is what?

we could stop criminals entering, like the Belgians do, we can not pay benefits to jobseekers (like GB under universal credit), what further measures?

There’s nothing wrong with sensible immigration policies, but Trixie believes that limiting the number of available workers is a good thing for the economy.

Like I said TM. Some folk on here literally drive you to despair. They're either thick or utterly lacking in compassion.

it takes 3 years to train a nurse with a further 12-18 months to get the L plates off. Nursing applications have crashed since the removal of the bursary. New nurses are often pushed into work with little or no support and as a result retention is awful. Many of my partners NHS colleagues from the EU have already left hounded our by racists. Many of her colleagues are going to leave within the next 18 months as a result of poor pay and increased strain due to all the vacancies which have increased exponentially since many from the EU left. People like you really live on another planet.

To get rid of the rising cost of NHS treatment the government needs to be stricter with pharmaceutical companies who charge the Earth for drugs and also manufacturers of equipment or even simple stationary that write blank checks out because it's for the NHS when they have different tariffs for the private sector. I voted Brexit but the spiralling costs aren't just attributed to immigration.

Arsenal should have bought a ball winning midfielder in the Summer instead of wasting 80million on Pepe.

Yes, you keep harping on about rosettes and donkeys & the die is cast but you could also say that about 180 or so tory strongholds.
