I have no chance of becoming an astronaut. Statistically there is a miniscule possibility that I could still become one but realistically there is no chance of it happening.

Yet another thread which has gone completely and utterly bonkers.

I'm agreeing with you that we ought to be more than grateful to have had an owner who has provided a long term stability to our club that many others have not been so lucky to have.

And I'm saying we have a big banner at the ground which reflects our gratitude, but that some seem to be less than appreciative of the words that you find on it.

We have a mathematical chance of winning the title this season.

We have no realistic chance of winning the title this season.

    Can you grasp the difference?

Therefore there is a chance. It's like saying " I do the lottery but I have no chance of winning". Well, you do. That's why you do it.

If there was no chance you wouldn't do it.

Your mate said there was no chance of us going up, which was not even at the time one of your "miniscule possibilities". It was plain mathematically wrong. And every other kind of wrong too.

Yes I can when you add the word "realistic". Which you didn't.

Neither did I use the word "mathematical".

Well considering I'm not on an astronaut training program I'd say it's more like me NOT doing the lottery and saying I have no chance of winning. If you are trying to be pedantic like

It's an odd thing to me to say PC is not worthy of a mention for saving something we all love (occasionally) I know we all put cash into the club but no where near the same level that PC chose to.

Pedantry would be to point out that we were in the "lottery" in that we were taking part in the league. So I won't point that out.

I don't think anybody has said he isn't worthy of a mention have they?

Someone mentioned they didn't think the board of directors would be worthy of mention. Which is odd really cos let's be honest we probably wouldn't have a football team now if it wasn't for PC.

Don't be too harsh on old Conan.

It's just sometimes he doesn't mean what he says.

There is no chance of me posting further tonight. Watch what will not happen next.

He is a very odd fellow. Very odd.

He can't seem to grasp that I was giving an opinion based on the fact that I didn't rate lee Johnson as a manager. Mathematics doesn't come into it.

Have you got Aspergers? Not everything people say is literal. It's called a figure of speech. You have no chance of bumming Taylor Swift.

Just got up and told our lass I was dying for a cup of tea. So she freaked out and called the ambulance.
