According to this post Hull City are refusing to pay final instalememt for Angus MCDonald http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1008879062?-278:841
“Barnsley decline to comment” shock. You’re right it’s not good that Hull aren’t paying up when it was public to them and everyone else the condition he had at the time. That said a part of me is glad that they aren’t paying it, I don’t want these owners earning another penny from player transfers. That 200k will go straight into their pockets like a vast majority of transfer funds that have gone missing.
Exactly. Keep the money, Hull. Put it towards getting our old mate, Angus, the best treatment available.
No evidence showing they’ve taken a single penny out of the club yet. As much as I don’t trust them and think they’ve made a lot of mistakes over the last few months, it does us no good to make wild accusations at this stage.
Odious behaviour. If we as a group of fans knew he had an iron deficiency, how did they not? Absolute ********. It’s inconsequential compared to his ongoing battle but still, despicable behaviour.
Silliest thing I’ve seen on this board for ages. As though every employer he’s been at hasn’t tried to do the best for the lad?
If I could I would. And I’d provide every fan with a free shirt, free season ticket, Free broadband. Vote me in!
Yeah you’re right I should say in my opinion. I wasn’t in that meeting they had with the fans forum but if what you read on here is true that 95% of the money has gone that this doesn’t read too well does it?
As someone who had grave reservations about them (or to be more accurate anyone like them) before they came in, none of this surprises me in the sense that they are venture capitalists looking to put in a relatively small amount of money to make lots of it back (when the club gets promotion or just does well in general.) Anything else and inevitably the fans will ask questions. My proof of this was the number of times it's happened elsewhere with buyers of other clubs. They've clearly spent, for us, decent money and imo sensibly included wages in that amount so we're not running up wage debt on top of transfer costs (see Sunderland as an example of what can happen?) You don't spend £50k on a car and then realise you can't afford the petrol, right? We've some good young players but that said we're clearly struggling for experience (or maybe just have too many players with too many mistakes in them), but we've seen before that getting the *right experience* isn't as simple as buying an older head. People have short memories of said "experienced players" who were actually gash. So I'm all for a quality experienced player for the right fee and who doesn't want £20k a week who is going to make the difference....
His issue with iron was well known and in the public domain. Plus he past their own fitness tests to sign for them in the first place. It's a skint city club with crowds worse than ours trying to cut costs because he's got cancer. They need to pay up.
Much like Cardiff with Sala, they'll get transfer-banned to fvck if they don't cough up. Their player, their problem.
Agreed. I don't like them, I don't trust them, but I can't claim they've taken anything from the club because I don't have a shred of evidence to back that up. I don't have a shred of evidence that they're billionaires either...
But you can’t afford it pal and that’s the point, in hindsight’s we’d have all had a different summer but we’re not the owners, we’re customers. If we don’t like the product we can stop shopping, no problem. To most people I know it doesn’t matter whether there’s 7 thousand or 15 thousand there so people should just do what they want with their time
