    Totally agree. What had caused the Club to
    release such a terse and callous statement though.?
    Bizarre if its down to his comments post the
    PNE game. He was only stating fact.

    I think if you add the word Just to chef Tykes commjent ie Football is not just about balance sheets, AGMs, ROIs and retaining future interests in player fcking sales. It becomes a more accurate statement - of course the Balance sheet is important but if its the main focus then it loses the hope that things can change. We have to believe that there is a chance we will compete at the top end of the championship again someday. If we know that as soon as we get a decent player he will be sold as soon as we can see a profit then the fans will desert the club and the downward spiral begins

    I thought the board did OK last season - Replaced Bradshaw with Woodrow brought in Bahre and Dougall etc and only sold Potts in January - as it turned out Brown was a good replacement
    The summer was a disaster though - and we wont always bounce straight back from relegation - so repeating the trick with this group of players probably wont work . Sell one player for decent money per window we can probably live with - sell half a team we know doesnt work -

    Do we know who 'wrote' the statement yet? Conway seems the only one getting bashed for it, but we've more than just him on the board and even if he did write it one of the others could have told him it was unacceptable? Unless we believe Conway wrote it and everyone else on our board agreed.

    What when he said we defended like a under 23 side?well the average age of the back 4 was 20. The defence is wafer thin cavare and pinnilos injury prone back ups not good enough center halfs arent half as good as the ones sold no wonder he was pissed off.
