but, could the powers that be at Oakwell be in possession of knowledge regarding the clubs under investigation for flouting the FFP rules and as such believe these clubs face massive points deductions to a degree that will see them relegated thus relieving the pressure on BFC to go out and spend panic money on players? Just a thought and/or wishful thinking.
And then we make a bid for all their top players when they get relegated at rock bottom prices If only!
Spend money on potentially decent young players. Go down but they perform in league one and go up, market for players with increase on cost. Sell, buy again, go down do it all again. Money making. Easy
When they pass these directions knowing full well they won’t be either implemented or watered down its hard to change from below . But one things for certain if another club with similar status to Bury flouts the rules they will feel the full force of the EFL/FA whilst the Bolton’s and Derby’s get slapped wrists .
If was the only one tested on this occasion. You'd bet more tests would follow. Pure speculation, mind.
As if the EFL is willing to do more than a slap on the wrist! At least at rugby their association does hand out proper penalties making sure Saracens finish bottom.
