And he may never become the finished article, but his contribution to every game he plays is so much more than Frieser and Thomas. I don't understand how there's a decision to be made.

I agree, however his contribution in the last 30 minutes, tends to be greater than if he plays the 1st 60. So it's a dilema.

I agree. I’m just not sure Vic has the same impact when starting.

I’m hoping Morris will come in and hit the ground running.

Twenty-odd shots on goal and only 2 goals and 1 of them a penalty its more or less the same every week same as RC say's hoping Morris will make an impact.

I think both Frieser and Victor have looked good when coming off the bench against tired legs. And both have looked pretty poor when starting. And Thomas just looks a bit rubbish all the time.

At least Victor seems to hold the ball up rather than just lose possession. I thought Frieser showed flashes in the first half and a lot of good things came through him. I'm reserving judgement so far, but still have hope. However, it's my honest opinion that if we are to progress and become a side which challenges for the top six, then Thomas and Chaplin are just not quite up to it at this level.

Agreed. Gave us a different dimension when he came on, as he always seems to do.

Although Thomas was involved in both goals....

Frieser gets a of stick, his work off the ball goes unnoticed. He drags defensive, constantly stretching the line. His movement is very clever, he always provides the midfield space and time. Victor is the battering ram who hurts tired minds and legs. Morris will do a bit of both hopefully, I'm really excited by his signing.

Fair point. I still don't think he's got quite what it takes to be a regular at a top-end Championship club, which surely has to be what we're aiming for as our next step. Obviously I'd love to be proved wrong, but he's been given plenty of chances to shine.

Tend to agree. I think there's a player in there with Frieser just not quite falling for him at times. Chaplin I'm undecided about, was better today, but just don't think Thomas has anywhere near enough of an impact

Seems weird Val is happy to move him on (albeit on loan) but is still pretty much our first sub every week

Maybe looking long term. If he rates him, but doesn't think he's ready yet, then he may gain a lot more from playing every week than the bit part we're offering. We've already got one forward in so that puts him a further place down the pecking order.

Think it's fair to give him some credit for the second goal. Although it was a stupid challenge from the defender cos he was going away from goal. Bit of a stretch to suggest he was integral in the first goal I think. I really want Thomas to do well, because he works hard and there seems to be a player in there somewhere. But he's had plenty of game time now and he still looks out of his depth at this level. Maybe a loan spell in league one would help to build his confidence, because he often seems ponderous in the final third and very rarely makes the right decision.
