Ha, you’re right, I’d missed Murray’s games in charge and just remembered Struber’s one penalty in 4. My point was that I think it’s unfair to compare the tactical approach that Val took when he first took over with what Poya is doing. Ismael came to a club with a settled back room staff, that he rated enough to take a few with him, and a squad that had almost been building towards his pressing style for the previous two years. Poya has adopted a mess. Club ripped apart in the summer and things made worse by Schopp, he’d have loved to have inherited a team with Mowatt and James in midfield as well.
I think my view of Poya will improve if he manages to persuade the pwers that be to strengthen. However, I just can't see that seeing as he's already talking in a way that suggests staying up isn't his only target.
