Agreed, my point was that throwing experience into the squad isn't a panacea. They should be looking, but the league is seemingly littered with experienced pros on high wages. I hope they change their minds.
Good point that. Nobody wanted Davies, Lindsay, Pinnock, Potts and Moore when we were relegated. A successful season in League 1 heightened their profile.
That's the key point. If I were offered the job of manager (and I mean manager, not head coach) I would want a commitment that signings, sales, tactics and team selection were my job, within reasonable financial constraints. If I don't get such a commitment, I'd rather remove my nipples with a cheese grater.
And if so, exactly right. If the owners really do think they can dictate football decisions, why don't they just dispense with the coaching staff and have Conway in the dugout?
There's people in situ, with very dubious credentials for doing so, who think they can manage the club as if they are playing FIFA 19. I don't know who they are, as it seems to be shrouded in secrecy, but It shows massive disrespect to this league, the club, its fans and football in general, that they thought it was going to be that easy.
Yeah there average crowds if 2/3000 dictated it and even there production line stopped working in the end.
