I was surprised when Grant got subbed

    Cos I hadn’t realised he was on the pitch!

    I watched the U21s tear Bristol City apart this afternoon and in midfield Bland, Makiessi, Yoganathan and, especially, Atkinson were superb. I’m wondering why we need to play Grant when we have such a decent player as Atkinson at the club. Similarly, McCart was woeful today when he came on, but I watched Nathan James have another great game today, capped off with a goal. Such a shame our own young players haven’t been brought into the squad and given game time, because I think Atkinson and James could have contributed more today than Grant and McCart did.

    Grant played well solid 7 performance didn’t do owt incredible didn’t do owt bad which is always good to have in a team

    I thought he played well too so I am surprised at these comments. Was he not involved in the first goal move?

    We need a couple of brussen no nonsense centre backs' the french lad reads the game well but is very lightweight' williams isn't a centre back and mccart isn't strong enough' as we could see from their winner..that said the team played well and were the better side i think..

    We’ve got a lot to do this summer. Will be easier to do if we win promotion, which I don’t think we will, but either way, we will prob need another 10 players.

    Thought he played ok against a good midfield/ we played on front foot upto the penalty and was the better team too

    Were you at the game? Just wondering if somehow you got a different view because I thought he did OK. Nothing spectacular and nothing bad just a decent performance. We played a lot worse when he went off but that may be because we had to change shape as we didnt have a like for like replacement and put an extra defender on

    I also thought Grant had a decent game and would have no hesitation in playing him at Blackpool

    Impressed with Grant, as I have been on most of his cameos so far. He was all over the pitch, lots of chasing & harrying. I don't think we'll see Luca again this season, so Grant has to repeat that performance for the remaining games. Leaves us light of a defensive midfielder, but that's not his fault.

    I wish I did, but no. Just a uneasy feeling it's his viral fatigue thing come back. Let's be honest about it; he's been nowhere near his best all season.
