IF we do go down then can we take some seats out and have a standing section?

I'm afraid historical allegiances mean that if I were to follow a Rugby League team up there it would have to be Cas. Am I banned?

Aren't the existing seats just bolted on to the concrete where terracing was previous?

if jamdrop thought standing at a rugby match felt unsafe its a good job she never experienced the ponty in our fourth/third division promotion years and even that was tame compared to being on the kop at Hillsborough or behind the nets at leeds,
I understand its not for everyone but there isn't a club in the country got the same atmosphere it had pre all seating.Maybe I still live in the past,i get like that when I talk about crawling up and down a coal face.

No. If you think back to when they did it the lower tier was closed for ages while the diggers were brought in to remove the concrete do some levelling and install a new concourse.

Seats have less steps than standing areas do with the steps being deeper and taller. Taller so that you can see over the head of the person in front (not so much a problem with standing as you can move) and deeper so that you can get your legs in. We did it properly but you can tell the stadiums that just bolted on as you dont have any leg room at all and feel like you're sitting on the ground with your knees in front of your face.

If they just ripped them out and stuck new ones in the angle would be all wrong and wouldn't be safe to stand in

I should have separated that last paragraph mate,it was the the small stadium and general atmosphere I was referring to.

the last paragraph was about the memories I took away from todays game.

Don't worry mate: your throne will be slap-bang in the middle of the new standing section, right next to the hidden bar.

Fair enough, I didn't realise they'd done that, thought they'd just skimmed over the existing 'steps' to freshen it up.

Suppose the South-West corner could be made standing then if the club wanted to trial it.
