And that makes your opinion more valid?

Certainly not ,I also accept your opinion ,I just don’t believe it’s as black and white as you make out. I also understand the fraustration as I also feel disappointed some match days

Load of rubbish that. He wanted to go and was applying for jobs before the takeover. Also they tried to sign other players and they turned us down. We was going down under Hecky and he knew that too.

There are very few players I'd be sorry to see go.
Yiadom, but I'm already resigned to that.
Hammill, because, despite his checkered past, I like him. I like that he's worked hard to improve himself as a person. I also think he'd still be a very good player in League 1.
Jackson as I think he's a good centre half.

The rest can go for me. I don't mean tear their contracts up and make a huge loss paying them off, but any sort of offer for any of them and I'd accept it. By doing so, I would, I'm sure, be undervaluing some of them, but I don't think it would be all that many and I don't think their potential worth will be anything like the amount we'll have to pay to honour their contracts over the next two or three years.

It's not going to happen, but I'd love to see a clean slate. Move this squad who only know how to lose, who are the most unfit team I've ever seen represent Barnsley out of the club and start again.

We were going down because we had no threat up front. Since Hecky cleared off, we now have.

It's a big difference. Where is Ugbo now? How often does Jose play Bradshaw? Those two with Thiam were our goalscoring "threat".

With Moore and McBurnie (how many has he scored already?) all season, we'd be much better off than we are now. Who does not agree with that?

If Harvey had stopped too, the team'd be on the beach.

Anyway, carry on slagging Hecky off as a coach (and not for his departure). But do it with a post you can dig out about how you thought he was **** before he left as well.

    Not many can.

Got better players at Leeds and he’s not exactly pulling up trees. Also he had Moore and oli against qpr and even again 10 men we lost and didn’t score.

    Most unfit?

When did you start watching us?

Even in the 70's they were smoking fags and downing pints, most likely including at half time.

He has watched a hell of a lot of football in his life
He has watched a lot of Barnsley matches this season
    He has eyes
He understands the concept of a league table

Yes he's qualified to make an assessment and pass judgement

The result at QPR away is the last fixture to draw a conclusion from.

You could send 11 of their men off and we'd still lose.

I was never one to buy into this ‘one of our own’ thing so I see it from a clear perspective of Hecky’s contribution

The class of 2015/16 were the result of the recruitment plan where lee Jay and danny Wilson both played a part in having the final say in bringing these talented young players to oakwell. Paul heckingbottom then took over lee jays run and got the team promoted but that team in league one on paper should have finished champions had lee Jay not pissed about probley would. I respect hecky for the promotion but the recruitment he overlooked(excpt Andy yiadom who lee Johnson wanted to bring in but Barnet would not accept our bid) has been not so good. And results since Conor left terrible.

You see things no clearer than anyone else - it's only your opinion. Which is as valid as anyone else's but not superior.

I don’t believe that Hecky knows how to spot a player. Not many of his signings have come off at all. Lee jay seemed to know how to spot a player

    In the 70s

I guess I mean in comparison to the opposition. Our performance levels in the second half of games have dropped off more rapidly and more severely than just about every other team we've played this season. Back in the 70s our midfield may have been on 20 woodbines and a gallon of double diamond, but so were the opposition, so it was a level playing field. Football today is full of athletes and our players are struggling against them, even when we're the better footballers. It's been Duracell against zinc carbon with the inevitable results.

I don't think you realise how we identify players.
