He gave the green light for most of our promotion squad. The recruitment system in place highlighted them. He then took a look and gave the green light just like hecky and Wilson (but Wilson was allowed to bring some experience in I believe)

Surely you don’t believe Hecky had no say in the players we signed..... he said himself that he does.

That's not the same as spotting someone is it? Putting a good player in front of someone and saying "we want to sign this lad - do you agree?" and him agreeing is not a sign of managerial know how.

Lee Johnson didn't identify Alfie Mawson as a potential target.

Give over were not all superstitious if your good enough to win on day and you manager plays players to their strengths and gets the best out of them they win. Hecky was far too negative setting up for a draw 9 times out of 10 we had moore v Fulham aswell.

I remember as a kid I identified chips as quiteqa tasty possible food source. Well my mum made me them and I liked them but I'm happy to take credit for the fact that I like them

Well I agree that our midfield aren't still full of long lasting Red Bull round about 4.20pm.

Maybe some of them just aren't physically capable of such as is required these days - running up and down constantly - I'm pretty confident that no amount of training would ever have allowed me to do it.

I don't reckon any centre half could do it.

We are allowed 3 subs these days. There's scope for minimising the problem by hauling the midfielders off. Depending on whether you choose to use your forwards to press. To be honest I don't like the idea of forwards running after the ball like my dog does in the park - it is likely to have worn them out by the time they ought to be doing summat when it comes their way.

Keep the forwards fresh as poss, and replace your knackered midfielders. Gardner always lasts the pace, but I reckon he does less gutbusting.

Yep and we had a bloke sent off, when we were in front (I think). So Fulham is not a good example for you either.

I do not agree that we set up for a draw. But if we did with a forward line of Ugbo/ Bradshaw/Thiam then it might well have been the best policy, cos we were hardly likely to win.

I agree with you on that conan and it gives the head coach a big hand. But hecky has had a list of players in front of him who's stats have got them on the list and hasn't picked the right ones. (Though I do think a few will come good Jackson,Lindsay, potts) but even though I wasn't a fan of Johnson's football you have to give him credit for the players he overlooked bringing here. Yeah he brought some duds in too but every manager does.
